What are qualifiers?
Qualifiers are used to limit the force of claim and indicate the degree of its probable truth. Qualifiers show that real - world arguments almost never prove a claim. Words such as "very likely, probably, or maybe" can be used to indicate the strength of the claim. If there are exceptions to the warrant or if the grounds are weak, the claim must be qualified. No argument is ever 100% persuasive. (Ramage, Bean, and Johnson, 79)
