What is a Reason?
A reason is a claim used to support another claim. In speaking or writing, a reason is usually linked to the claim with connecting words such as because, since, for, so, thus, consequently, and therefore, indicating that the claim follows logically from the reason.
- You can express reasons in became clauses, but this is only effective when a valid supporting sentence follows.
